Step Forward ..and consider Ministry in the Anglican Church

Step Forward 2024 – 23rd March 2024

10.30am to 4.30pm (Booking now closed)

Bishopthorpe Palace, York, England YO23 2GE

“God always reaches out in love to humankind, calling us and journeying alongside us. Jesus Christ says, ‘Come and follow me’ into life in all its fullness. For some, their fulfilment is found in the ordained ministry. Might you be called by Jesus to follow him in this challenging and exciting vocation?”

Stephen Cottrell, Archbishop of York

What is Step Forward?

A day for anyone aged 18 to 30 considering ministry in the Church of England. There will be:

  • Time for worship, prayer and Bible study
  • An opportunity to find out what being ordained is really like – its highs and lows
  • Space to look at your own experience and what God might be calling you to in the future
  • The chance to discover how the selection process and ordination training programmes work

Who is it for?

Step Forward is for anyone aged 18 to 30 who is wondering whether God might be calling them to ministry in the Church of England.

You may have already taken some steps down this route – or you may never have thought about it until now! Either way, the day will help you think, talk and pray through this question.
